Why is Wright Really hungry?
Wright is hungry because up until now he is so used to there always being food that he takes it for granted. He never stops to make the connection between his father and having food. So now that his father is gone there is no food and he's hungry and when he asks his mom for food she simply tells him there is none and he dosn't understand until he realizes that his father is gone and that is why there is no more food in the house.

I agree with you in the food predicament. he dosen't realize how he is getting the food until his father leaves. He now knows how his food got to him and he is very angry when he has no food.
