Esther and Buddy

Blog – What does Esther think of Buddy? What does she want from him? What does she want him to think of her?

Originally Esther idealized Buddy. She admired him, even looked up to him, and she wanted nothing more than for him to like her. Eventually they hooked up and this made her very happy but over time she came to think of him as a hypocrite, mostly because everyone viewed Buddy as being so pure when really he had had an affair with a waitress. Its not that Buddy having an affair bothered her its just that even after that and even from those that new about the affair they still viewed him as being so pure. This then made Esther feel like perhaps she needed to go out and have a fling just to even the score with Buddy. However before she could tell Buddy how she really felt about him he ended up with TB and had to go off because TB is contagious, and he made her promise that she’d write to him because he said he would be horribly lonely. So basically she once admired him but now she wants to break off the relationship.
